I am all about the minimal ingredient recipes. I love that these raw chocolate date bars can be made with as little as 4 ingredients, and they are naturally refined-sugar-free, gluten-free and vegan. A simple healthy dessert recipe that can be made in batches, and frozen for later – when you need that sweet treat.

The best thing about making raw desserts is that they are naturally free of refined flour and refined sugar. Most of the time they are sweetened with dates, which are not only a great natural sweetener, they are also packed full of fibre and potassium. Here is my recipe for a Raw Chocolate Date Bars which rivals my other favourite raw chocolate date bar recipe, this favourite Raw Chocolate Brownie with Caramel Icing.

Nothing better on these cold, dark mornings than a nice steaming bowl of nourishing oatmeal for breakfast. My smoothies have taken a back seat, but with them has gone my daily addition of medicinal mushroom blend. Medicinal mushrooms have been making regular appearances in health enthusiast diets and for good reason! I love adding a chocolate mushroom powder blend to my oatmeal, which when combined with orange marmalade, makes this delicious orange chocolate oatmeal for breakfast.

This recipe for avocado chocolate mousse is dear to my heart. My grandfather was the type to not be a fan of anything outside his norm. I tried serving him homemade sushi once, and it was no secret that it wasn’t his favourite meal. So when I wanted to serve him avocado for dessert what did I do? Not tell him of course, and it turns out that he loved it! This recipe is decadent and delicious.
